All preschool teachers spend many hours with the children in their care. In many cases they are the first to notice the progress or lack thereof in the children they care for each day. This presentation will include an overview of the Connecticut Birth to 3 system from referral to service delivery. It will cover who, how, why, and when to call when you have a concern about the growth and development of a child from birth to age 3. The referral and evaluation process, as well as how service delivery in Birth-3 differs from school aged services and will be explained. The information you will gain will help you in the discussions with family members seeking help for their children.
